Interview with Personal Stylist Yana Anders for Bold Journey Magazine

Meet Yana Anders

November 21, 2025

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Personal Stylist Yana Anders. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Journalist: Hi Yana, we appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

Personal Stylist Yana Anders

Yana Anders: My resilience isn’t something I learned from a book; I inherited it directly from my mother. When my parents divorced, I was five, and watching my mom and grandparents raise me gave me a profound example of persistence. My mother always approached her life with the firm conviction that anything could be accomplished if you truly wanted it. She reached her career goals without hesitation and never once doubted her own abilities.
I learned the best lessons simply by observing her. She had this amazing ability to juggle her job, raise kids, and manage the household—a real master of multitasking. I think I borrowed that persistence and will from her just by watching her live her life every day. The most effective way a parent can teach a child is not by lecturing them, but by demonstrating through action. Thanks to her example, I have never questioned my own capacity for success, and I believe, just as she did, that if I work hard, no obstacle can stop me from reaching my goals.

Journalist: Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Yana Anders: I own Style Fix Studio in Boston, MA, and I’m a certified personal stylist. For the past 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to helping men and women of all ages and sizes look and feel their best by carefully shaping the way they look.
I enjoy creating outfits that look great and make my clients feel confident and comfortable. I plan wardrobes carefully based on four main things: the client’s lifestyle, body type, color palette, and budget. I also give professional advice on hair and makeup to help my clients look their best and put together. Changing your style and the message your clothes send can greatly boost your confidence and your chances of success.

Journalist: There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment, and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Yana Anders: When you start anything new, the most important thing is not just wishing for success. You have to be clear about what you want to achieve and how you plan to get there. I’ve always reached my goals by diving in, learning, and just trying new things. Sure, I’ve made plenty of mistakes and had a few failures, but I learned from my mistakes. They were the best teachers. I think the three qualities that truly helped me keep moving forward were my patience, my willingness to learn new things, and my deep-seated optimism.
